For eleven years the WCA Group Health Trust (GHT) has awarded scholarships to college students who are studying in the health services field. The GHT Board of Directors allocates $10,000 per year for these scholarships as a way to give back to the members and communities that have made the GHT a success. The applicant or the applicant’s spouse, parent, grandparent or guardian must be a GHT member.
The GHT is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Group Health Trust scholarships:
Cody Woyak is pursuing a degree in nursing at Marian University. His family is a GHT member through the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools.
Kelly Kuehl is attending St. Norbert College with a major in biology. Kuehl is from the Appleton Area School District.
Sarah Amundson is a double major in biology and English literature at UW-Madison. Her GHT membership is through the North Fond du Lac School District.
Kaitlyn Hoeft is a nursing major UW-Eau Claire. She hails from the Appleton Area School District.
Elizabeth Evans is from Valders Area School District. She is attending UW-Green Bay with a major in human biology.
"We commend this year's recipients for their hard work and dedication in pursuing a career in health services," said WCA Group Health Trust Chief Operating Officer Michael Lamont. "As the new school year approaches, we are thrilled to be able to help relieve some of the financial burden associated with college and congratulate all winners."
